God's Plan For You

Do You Know For Sure?

Life moves fast—the Bible even calls it a 'vapor' that appears and then vanishes. If you were to face eternity tonight, do you have the peace of knowing you’d be home in Heaven?

Death

The core of the Christian message is captured in the profound promise of John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." This verse highlights a divine exchange rooted in unconditional love. Because our sins created a barrier between us and a holy God, Jesus came to earth to bridge that gap, willingly taking the penalty for our wrongdoings upon Himself. By accepting this sacrifice, we are not only forgiven but are granted the gift of eternal life, shifting our destiny from separation to a joyful, forever home in heaven.

Resurrection

The Resurrection serves as the definitive triumph of life over death, validating the promise of salvation. In 1 Peter 1:3, it is written, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." This event confirms that the sacrifice for sin was accepted and that the power of the grave has been permanently broken. By rising again, Jesus transformed a moment of profound loss into a "living hope," ensuring that all who follow Him can look forward to their own future resurrection and an eternal inheritance that can never perish.

Ascension

The Ascension marks the moment Jesus returned to the Father, signaling both the completion of His earthly mission and the beginning of His role as our intercessor in heaven. As recorded in Acts 1:11, the angels told the disciples, "This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." This promise serves as a vital reminder that while He is currently in heaven preparing a place for us, His departure is not permanent. We are called to live with a sense of readiness and purpose, ensuring our hearts are aligned with His teachings and our lives reflect His love, so that we may be found faithful and prepared whenever He returns in glory.

The "Neighborly" Truth

Recognizing that we have all made mistakes is the first step toward understanding the depth of divine compassion. This "neighborly" truth is captured perfectly in Romans 3:23, which states, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." It serves as a powerful equalizer, reminding us that no one is perfect and that we all share the same human frailty. However, this realization isn't meant to discourage us; rather, it sets the stage for God’s grace and mercy to enter the picture. Even when we fall short of the standard, we are met with an unmerited favor that bridges the gap, offering a fresh start and the strength to move forward despite our past errors.

The Reality

We’ve all missed the mark. The Bible calls this sin, and it’s what creates a distance between us and God

The Consequence

That separation has a cost , but God doesn't want us to stay there.

The Solution

It’s not about how many "good things" we do—it’s about a gift that was already paid for

Your Turning Point: The Three "Heart" Steps

Taking the next step in your spiritual journey is about moving from head knowledge to a "heart" transformation. This turning point is defined by three essential actions: Believe, Repent, and Confess. As Romans 10:9 explains, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." First, you believe in the reality of Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection. Second, you repent, which means making a sincere "U-turn" away from your old mistakes and toward God's way of living. Finally, you confess your faith openly, acknowledging Him as the leader of your life. These three steps shift your path from "falling short" to walking in a brand-new direction fueled by grace.

Confess

Using your voice to welcome Him as your Lord and Savior

A Simple Prayer

If you're ready to make Christ your personal Savior, you can talk to Him right now. It doesn't have to be fancy; it just has to be from your heart

"Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for me and rose again. I repent of my sins and confess You as my Lord. Please come into my heart. Amen."

I Prayed! What Next?

Congratulations and WELCOME to the family! Taking this step is the most significant decision you will ever make, and we are truly overjoyed to have you with us. Now that you’ve prayed and committed your heart to Christ, your journey of growth begins. As Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together... but encouraging one another." Your next move is to surround yourself with fellow believers who can support you. Finding a solid, Bible-teaching church in your area—like IROC Church—is a wonderful way to plug into a community. If you don't have a Bible yet, getting one is a priority so you can begin to learn God's Word for yourself. Don't keep this light to yourself; share the news with your family and friends!
